Dan+Yaccarino+author+photoThe Lana Ferguson Literary Festival is an annual tradition, honoring a former Guilford children’s librarian, that introduces best-selling and award-winning children’s authors to kids in Guilford and beyond.  Dan Yaccarino has written and illustrated over a dozen best-selling picture books and graphic novels, including Unlovable, Zorgoochi Intergalactic Pizza: Delivery of Doom, and The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau which will be available for sale at a special discounted rate only through this event (see below).  He has illustrated many books for other famous authors, including Margaret Wise Brown, Jack Prelutsky, and Kevin Henkes.  Dan also animated and designed characters for TV, including Oswald, Willa’s Wild Life, and The Backyardigans.  Dan will talk about his life as an author/illustrator and answer questions.  Registration is required.  All fans welcome, but most appropriate for children in grades K-6.  Thursday, January 14th from 4:30-5:30pm via Zoom.  Register below to receive the link to access this program.
