Dudley Farm String Band: More than just bluegrass. While they have their roots in bluegrass, the Dudley Farm String Band brings together bluegrass, traditional and progressive styles of music. The band name comes from the Dudley Farm, a 19th-century farm museum and educational center located at the intersection of Routes 80 & 77 in North Guilford, CT. When weather permits, you can usually find them there on Saturday mornings, playing under the trees during the farmer’s market. They have played in venues around the state, including: The Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Yale University Art Gallery, Cafe Nine in New Haven, Firefly Brewing Company, Best Video Performance Space, and The International Festival of Arts & Ideas.
Dudley Farm String Band is Brian Young (guitar, vocals), Irv Hagewood (banjo), Mathew Crowley (mandolin, vocals), Stan Hershonik (harmonica, vocals), and Mike Sinclair (bass).
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the library meeting room.
