Akiko Iwasaki, professor of Immunobiology and Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the Yale School of Medicine, will speak on her research on rhinoviruses and how we get the common cold.

Professor Iwasaki’s research has revealed how body temperature affects the immune system’s response to the common cold virus. The research, published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, may provide additional strategies for developing therapies for colds.
