Dr. Ani Deshpande, a United states Chess Federation Certified Chess Coach and a two-time Wisconsin State Chess Champion, will teach a 5-session class to students in kindergarten and first grade. No prior knowledge required. There are a lot of benefits for children who play chess, including: increased IQ scores, improved problem solving skills, ability to make difficult and strategic decisions independently, and fostering of critical and creative thinking. Registration required. Plan to attend classes all five weeks, Space is limited. Tuesdays, Octobers 3rd through November 7th (skip 10/31), from 4:30 – 5:15 pm. For children in grades kindergarten and 1st grade only.
