Join the Yale Science Diplomats for the final program in their Science in the News series. Three Yale graduate students will discuss the topic “From Molecules to Minds: How We Study Disease.”

Neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, and Schizophrenia can greatly affect the lives of the individuals and their loved ones. In this talk, we’ll take a brief look into the multitude of ways that scientists are studying these diseases. From exploring the molecules that define our genetics to using model organisms like mice and yeast to coding computer simulations to model parts of the brain, we will outline several ways that scientists are researching the causes of these diseases as well as working to find a cure.
