Governor Lamont has identified libraries as being able to reopen on June 17 provided they comply with sector requirements. The sector-specific rules include detailed information and requirements about physical distancing, facility capacity, hygiene, sanitizing, signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), scheduling, and training.
While our physical building will remain closed for a very short period of time after this date, the Guilford Free Library has launched a new contactless pickup service for physical items, expanded access to digital resources and a variety of programs through the zoom platform. Our staff is also available during regular hours by phone to help with your questions.

Browse Books and CDs inside the building. You do not need an appointment. There may be a short wait to enter the building as we will be monitoring the number of patrons permitted in the building at one time.

We are working towards offering computer access and study spaces by the end of the month. The current parking lot pickup service will continue throughout these stages as will remote reference service.
Your safety and the safety of our staff will remain our paramount concern as we cautiously reintroduce access to the building in stages.There will be changes both inside and outside of the building in accordance with state requirements.
