Event Details

One Saturday each month, come to the library to learn about local & global animals & plants and meet wildlife.  Our Weekend Wildlife series aims to broaden understanding of and compassion for the environment, wildlife, and domestic animals through informative and interactive presentations.  Open to ages 4 & up.  Registration is required for each individual event.  11:00am-12:00pm on the following days:  January 13th, February 3rd, March 9th, and April 6th.  Generously funded by the Allan Louis Loeb Foundation.

This month we will be learning all about snakes and their important roles in the ecosystem.  There are 14 species of snakes that call Connecticut home, and you’ll get to meet some of them along with other snakes from around the world.  You have nothing to fear from these unique animals once you understand and respect them, and Riverside Reptiles will help you get to know snakes better at this family-friendly event.
