cogStudents entering grades 4 & up next school year are invited to join our Nutmeg Book Club to discuss the 2022 Intermediate Nutmeg Book Award nominees.  A different book will be discussed each week with trivia and activities to follow.  Nutmeg Book Club will take place, weather permitting, outside on the library’s front lawn on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30pm.  Masks are required.  Registration required.  Space is limited.  You must register for each week separately.

**Important Safety Information for In-person Programs**
Masks, social distancing, temperature checks, age restrictions, and capacity restrictions will be strictly enforced for everybody’s safety, regardless of your vaccination status. Please do not show up if you or anyone in your family have been exposed to coronavirus, have a suspected exposure, or tested positive in the last 14 days, or if you are feeling sick or anyone in your household is under quarantine. Call the library at (203) 453-8282 if you cannot make it for any reason so we may let someone else participate. This event will take place outside on the library lawn, so bring sunblock, a hat, water, etc. to stay safe in the sun.

This week we will be discussing COG a novel by Greg Van Eekhout.  Cog is just like any other 12-year-old boy, except that his brain and body were created by a kind scientist who built him to learn.  When his scientist caretaker goes missing, Cog embarks on a mission to find her and learns more than he expected along the way.
