A different book will be discussed each week with trivia and activities to follow. Nutmeg Book Club will take place, weather permitting, outside on the library’s front lawn on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30pm. Masks are required. Registration required. Space is limited. You must register for each week separately.
**Important Safety Information for In-person Programs**
Masks, social distancing, temperature checks, age restrictions, and capacity restrictions will be strictly enforced for everybody’s safety, regardless of your vaccination status. Please do not show up if you or anyone in your family have been exposed to coronavirus, have a suspected exposure, or tested positive in the last 14 days, or if you are feeling sick or anyone in your household is under quarantine. Call the library at (203) 453-8282 if you cannot make it for any reason so we may let someone else participate. This event will take place outside on the library lawn, so bring sunblock, a hat, water, etc. to stay safe in the sun.
This week, we will be discussing Planet Earth Is Blue a novel by Nicole Panteleakos. Nova thinks deeply about many things, especially outer space, but only her sister Bridget knows. Nova is on the autism spectrum, living with a new foster family, and Bridget has disappeared. She promised to be back in time for the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger launch, so Nova counts down the days until the Shuttle launches and she can be with Bridget again.
