Nutmeg Book Club will take place, weather permitting, outside on the library’s front lawn on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30pm. Masks are required. Registration required. Space is limited. You must register for each week separately.
**Important Safety Information for In-person Programs**
Masks, social distancing, temperature checks, age restrictions, and capacity restrictions will be strictly enforced for everybody’s safety, regardless of your vaccination status. Please do not show up if you or anyone in your family have been exposed to coronavirus, have a suspected exposure, or tested positive in the last 14 days, or if you are feeling sick or anyone in your household is under quarantine. Call the library at (203) 453-8282 if you cannot make it for any reason so we may let someone else participate. This event will take place outside on the library lawn, so bring sunblock, a hat, water, etc. to stay safe in the sun.
This week we will be discussing Emmy in the Key of Code a novel by Aimee Lucido. Emmy, 12, already feels out of place having been born to highly musical parents while she struggles with stage fright. When Emmy connects with computer class and starts to learn coding, she thinks she is finally finding her place in the world. But is it really as easy as do-re-mi?
