Sign up your preschool child at the library and receive your notebook, starting information, and the pages to track the first 100 books.
After you finish your first 100 books, bring your notebook to the library and put a teddy bear on our bulletin board. Get your next “100 titles” page and your special blue book tote. Your child will receive a congratulatory sticker each time you finish a 100 book level.
When 1,000 books are reached, your child’s picture will be displayed and a certificate will be awarded. Your child also gets to pick a free book to keep!
How Can I Read 1000 Books?
It’s Easy:
3 books a day for 1 year = 1,095 books
1 book a day for 3 years = 1,095 books
10 books a week for 2 years = 1,040 books
You Can:
Read the same book over and over.
Read in any language.
Count books heard at library story times.
