Edith Reynolds
“What Sustains” – showing the Hallway and Meeting Room Galleries from September 1 to September 24th, 2025
Edith Reynolds was the recipient of the 2024 Sea Grant from UCONN for her work “What Sustains,” which will be featured in the library exhibition. More than twenty paintings explore the vital role of mollusks in Connecticut’s ecological and economic landscape, celebrating both their natural beauty and their significance to the state’s sustenance and economic development. Through her art, Reynolds brings attention to these often-overlooked marine creatures, highlighting their importance to coastal communities and environmental health while showcasing her deep connection to Connecticut’s maritime heritage.
Artist wishing to exhibit?
Artists interested in exhibiting their work are invited to submit a proposal. Prior to scheduling a show, we also ask exhibitors to sign a hold harmless and to submit some additional details about the exhibit so that we can post the information on our website. Priority will be given to local and Connecticut artists and we request that all exhibits be appropriate for family viewing.
