Perhaps no other group of birds connects continents like shorebirds, many of which make the longest migrations of any species. These incredible athletes also face numerous challenges, from coastal development to climate change. In this presentation with CT Audubon Society’s Joe Attwater, learn about the migrations of these amazing birds, the conservation efforts going on to protect them, and the species you can expect to see in Connecticut.

Joe Attwater, is the Conservation and Education Coordinator for the CT Audubon Society’s RTP Estuary Center in Old Lyme. He leads many of the center’s public programs and assists with the K-12 education programs.
