Talk of “artificial intelligence” is everywhere…but what is it really? Dennis Gleeson, a former director of strategy in the CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence, will walk through generative AIs like Claude and Chat GPT, providing an overview of how they work, how you might use them, and some considerations when using them.
Dennis Gleeson is a former director of strategy in the Central Intelligence Agency’s (then) Directorate of Intelligence, where he was responsible for aligning information and technology to help analysts across the U.S. Intelligence Community work in the face of massive volumes of data. In late 2023, he wrote “Artificial Intelligence for Analysis: The Road Ahead” which appeared in Studies in Intelligence, Intelligence Community’s premier professional journal. Since its publication, he has designed and moderated working groups on AI’s adoption and use by governmental organizations and has spoken about AI at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s “Innovation in Action,” at a regional conference looking at AI’s adoption across the Caribbean, and several libraries across Connecticut. In his talk, “An Introduction to AI,” Dennis periodically writes about AI on Substack at “The Angry Analyst.”
