Unseen: Documentary and Panel Discussion about Special Needs Caregivers

Wednesday, May 20, 2026 6:00 pm

Event Details

A collaboration between Guilford Youth & Family Services, Guilford D.A.Y., Guilford Free Library, and Guilford SEPTO, we present a screening of the documentary film, “Unseen”.  This film discusses how we as a society are failing parents/caregivers of those with special needs, and why that matters.   This film gives an unfiltered glimpse into the lives of parent caregivers and their real challenges.  It sheds light on how difficult it can be to get support, and establishes a framework for strategic partnerships to enable real change.  Following the film, there will be a panel discussion led by special-needs parents/caregivers and clinicians, who will share their experiences and answer questions.  Please register below.  Wednesday, May 20th from 6:00-7:30pm.

This is an in-person and virtual simultaneous event.  Details about registering for virtual/home viewing and participation are forthcoming.  All registered participants will be emailed with instructions for the virtual option when the time comes.  Please register below regardless of which way you plan to attend, in-person or remotely.  Thank you.
