Any resident of Guilford may obtain a library card. Your Guilford card allows you to use and to check out print materials from any Connecticut public library. In turn we honor library cards from residents of other Connecticut towns.
Most materials may be returned to any other public library in Connecticut. Items from the Library of Things, the children’s Kit Collection, or Toy Library must be returned at the reference or children’s desks of Guilford Free Library.
Loan periods vary by item. Fines are .25 cents/day on most items and $1 a day on Quick Picks and items from the Library of Things. A maximum fine limit of $4 is applicable on overdue items.
