This special event will honor Norm’s legacy through performance and poetry, including a reading of Thornton Wilder’s one-act The Happy Journey from Trenton to Camden, poetry that resonated with him, and excerpts from his solo show about the abolitionist John Brown, John Brown: Trumpet of Freedom.
Come celebrate a life of storytelling, history, and artistic passion.
This event will be presented by members of the Moses Gunn/Norman Marshall Play Company and other friends sharing their talents. Refreshments will be served!
Also, tune in to WPKN 89.5 FM this Friday, May 15 at 6:00 PM, when Julie Fitzgerald, Primi Townsend, and Marion Gittleman will be interviewed by Mike Boland on State of the Arts about the upcoming Norman tribute performance at the library. If you miss the live broadcast, the program will be available afterward at archives.wpkn.org under State of the Arts for 5/15/26.
Hope to see you!
