The Guilford Poets Guild invites you to an evening of poetry with Christine Beck on Thursday March 12 at 6:30 PM.
The evening will begin with an open mic — bring a poem to share or simply come to listen — followed by a featured reading by Christine Beck.
Christine holds an MFA from Southern Connecticut State University and is the author of four poetry collections, including Blinding Light and her forthcoming memoir Given Time: a Mother-Daughter Cancer Memoir (2025). She is also the author of Beneath the Steps, a poetry-and-prompts collection for writers in recovery.
A former Poet Laureate of West Hartford, Christine hosted Poetry Around Town and later served as President of the Connecticut Poetry Society, where she created the educational program Poets on Poetry. She has taught at University of Hartford and presented at the annual conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs.
