Hummingbirds are the smallest and most brilliantly colored birds in the world and are among the most loved and most sought-after species. Given their diminutive size and rapid flight, they are also among the most difficult to observe, and the lives and behaviors of many species are relatively unknown. Join CT Audubon Society’s Joe Attwater, and learn about the fascinating lives of these incredible birds, the adaptations to their lifestyle, and the threats they face. Joe is the Conservation and Education Coordinator for the CT Audubon Society’s RTP Estuary Center in Old Lyme. He leads many of the center’s public programs and assists with the K-12 education programs.
