Learn to Play Ukulele for Adults

Want to try an instrument that is fun and easy to play? Learn the fundamentals of ukulele playing with Julie Stepanek. No experience necessary. Ukuleles provided or bring your own.

The class will run an hour and covers tuning, fretting and reading chord diagrams – the three things one needs to know in order to get started with the ukulele.

Julie Stepanek lives in a pine forest in western Massachusetts where she raised a son and taught herself how to play the ukulele. Originally from Nebraska, she played in rock bands in New York City and holds a Masters in Philosophy. She has been teaching and making music at libraries, schools and senior centers throughout New England for the past thirteen years.
