Please join Yale School of Music professor Stephanie Venturino for a talk on the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Richard Strauss’s Salome, which will be broadcast live in theaters on Saturday, May 17.

Stephanie Venturino is an assistant professor of music analysis and musicianship. Her research focuses on twentieth- and twenty-first-century French music, the history of music theory, and music theory and aural skills pedagogy. Her work is published or forthcoming in the peer-reviewed journals Music Theory Online and Theoria: Historical Aspects of Music Theory, as well as in edited collections from Cambridge University Press, Routledge, and University of Rochester Press. She regularly presents her work at regional, national, and international conferences. Stephanie holds a Ph.D. in music theory and a B.M. in classical saxophone performance from the Eastman School of Music.
