
Join Dr. Robert F. Waters for an engaging pre-broadcast talk on the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Samson et Dalila, which will be broadcast live in theaters on Saturday, December 5 at 12:00 PM.

Dr. Robert F. Waters is a musicologist specializing in turn-of-the-century French music and twentieth-century Americanopera. His books include Déodat de Séverac: Musical Identity in Fin-de-Siècle France for Ashgate Publishing and The Stage Works of Philip Glass with Cambridge University Press. He contributed editorial work to the Center for Studies in 19th-Century Music on the French text of The Music Criticism of Hector Berlioz in collaboration with the Paris Conservatoire and has published over 130 articles as a contributing writer for The Washington Post. Dr. Waters has taught at Wake Forest and Seton Hall Universities and has presented widely at international conferences. He is currently working on a book on twentieth-century opera.
