In the mid-1960s, Lowndes County, Alabama had an 80% African American population but zero registered Black voters. Through first person accounts and archival footage, this documentary chronicles the grassroots movement of Lowndes county citizens, who, with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), risked their lives for Black voting rights.
