“All Mixed Up” features the mixed media work of Guilford artist Eileen Clark. She is known for her multii-textured and three dimensional canvases, many of which are inspired by nature. Using found objects and a vibrant color scheme Eileen presents an eclectic collection of artwork. Her latest series of nature goddesses incorporates genuine hornet nest paper, seashells, paper flowers and fibers.

  • CT Pieces for Peace

Showing in the Meeting Room Gallery from February 2nd – February 27th

A framed piece of artwork that is part of the Connecticut pieces for piece art show

The Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World is a CTSO committee of DKG International (www.dkg.org) with a mission to promote peace education, protect the environment, foster human rights, and celebrate diversity. In the spring of 2017, the COH sponsored a CITYarts Pieces for Peace traveling exhibition of student artwork from many countries. It met with such success that they created the CT Pieces for Peace Traveling Exhibition, inspired by the CITYarts Pieces for Peace project of New York City. (www.CITYARTS.org) Schools in the Storrs area of CT were invited to have students create their own artwork expressing “What Does Peace Look Like You?”

The artwork has been displayed in many venues in northeastern Connecticut and we are now displaying the pieces “west of the river”. It is hoped that students, teachers, and parents will be inspired to express what peace means to them.
