3D printing

Send your design to us and we’ll print your 3D object for you!

What is 3D printing?

Thanks to an anonymous donation, we are now able to provide 3D printing services. 3D printing is the process of making a three-dimensional object from a digital computer file. The printer receives the information from the digital file and then builds the object layer by layer using a thermoplastic material, known as filament.

How it works:

  • Email us your design in .STL format to 3dprinting@guilfordfreelibrary.org. Please include your preferred color, layer height (resolution), and infill.
  • A staff member will review the file and schedule the printing which may take up to a week.
  • Pay for your print on pickup.
