Fast-paced, interactive and hip, Brian Gillie’s live musical show, “The Roots of Rock ‘n’ Roll: 1950 – 1965,” is a fresh and joyous rock experience, and a 70-minute retro-groove of song and dance. History, humor, costumes, props, original sound bites, stand-up piano-playing, radio commercials, impersonations and attitude all come sunny-side up with a little swag and mischief. Revisit the effervescence of doo-wop, Motown, girl groups, surfin’, R & B, soul, country, novelty tunes and much more: Little Richard to Coasters, Everly Brothers to Beatles, Drifters to Four Seasons, Roy Orbison to Four Tops, Elvis to James Brown. A huge dose of sun-drenched rock therapy. Sh BOOM!
Brian Gillie is a longtime music teacher, singer, songwriter, dance choreographer, and multi-instrumentalist. Since 1983, he has been bringing music, singing, and dance programs and concerts to audiences ranging in age from 2 to 92.
