Learn the fundamentals of ukulele playing. No experience necessary. Ukuleles are provided, or you can bring your own or borrow one from our Library of Things collection. In this one hour program participants will learn how to tune, strum, fret and read chord diagrams.
Julie Stepanek Murray lives in a pine forest in western Massachusetts where she raised a son and taught herself how to play the ukulele. Originally from Nebraska, she played in rock bands in New York City and holds a Masters in Philosophy. She has been teaching and making music at libraries, schools and senior centers throughout New England for the past thirteen years.
