Native Plants in Westwoods: Identification, Value, and Availability

Event Details

Join Crystal Gaudio in a discussion of Native Plants in Westwoods that might be grown in our backyards. Crystal will discuss the identifying characteristics, habits, and landscape value of a variety of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. The goal of the talk is to familiarize listeners with common Westwoods plants, enriching their experience of Westwoods and providing inspiration for their own properties.

Crystal Gaudio is a licensed landscape architect in New York and Connecticut and founder of Guilford based Rubus Landscape Architecture, specializing in ecological gardens, meadows, natural play spaces, historic public parks, trails, and trailheads. A follow-up in-person Westwoods walk will take place on Sunday June 2 following the discussion.
