To celebrate National Library Week during April, the Passport to Connecticut Libraries Program invites you to visit all of Connecticut’s participating libraries.  Each library has its own architecture, vibe, and collection to explore and browse!  The program is open to adults and children, and the hope is that it encourages residents to explore the amazing diversity of our public libraries.

To begin, stop by the Guilford Free Library to pick up your Passport, and we will stamp it to get you started.  Then, take your Passport along as you visit other participating libraries where they will stamp your passport and may give you a small gift.

How it Works:

  • Visit the Guilford Free Library to pick up your Passport beginning April 1st and get your first stamp.
  • Visits must occur between April 1 and April 30. This is a statewide contest where six winners will be selected: one adult and one child from a random drawing from all who visited at least five (5) libraries, one adult and one child from a random drawing from all who visited at least twenty five (25) libraries, and one adult and one child from a random drawing from all who visited the most libraries.
  • Visit at least five (5) participating libraries and return your passport by Monday, May 11th, to be entered into one state-wide drawing for a chance to win a prize.
  • Passports must be turned in to be entered into the prize drawing. If you’d like to keep your passport, you’re welcome to submit a copy.
