Based in Stony Creek, the Flying Fish Jazz Quartet formed during the pandemic and has since grown into a fun, entertaining ensemble with a sound all their own. Featuring two guitars, bass, and drums—with the occasional saxophone—the group blends jazz standards and original compositions, drawing influence from Latin, soul, and blues. Their music is intimate yet dynamic, always rooted in improvisation. The quartet has released two albums: Numero Uno, a lively and exploratory debut, and December Skies, a more introspective and atmospheric follow-up.
The library provides seating on the patio but you are welcome to bring your own chairs. In the case of rain, the concert will be moved inside to the Meeting Room.
This program is free and open to all.
