Summer Concert Series: Phil Rosenthal & Naomi Sommers

Join father and daughter duo Phil Rosenthal and Naomi Sommers as they perform original and traditional folk songs at the Guilford Free Library. Phil and Naomi have been performing together over 30 years (often as the Sommers Rosenthal Band, including mother Beth and brother Daniel). Ithaca based, Naomi has released several acclaimed albums of original songs, and has performed and recorded with Lisa Bastoni (as the Grey Sky Girls), Jefferson Hamer and others. Phil was lead singer and guitarist in the seminal bluegrass band The Seldom Scene, and his compositions have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, and Nick Cave. He was appointed Connecticut State Troubadour in 1994.

*In the event of rain the concert will be held inside the Library’s Meeting Room.
