Plant a seed and read! Do you know how to listen when flowers talk? Hear all about it at this fun summer reading event, where author Sara Levine will read from her non-fiction picture book, “Flower Talk”, that explores how plants communicate with each other. Then, discover the different parts of the flower by doing hands-on flower dissection, and learn to identify flowers from the library’s native plant pollinator garden. Each registered and present family will receive a free signed copy of the book. All ages welcome, though program is most suited to ages 7 & up. Registration required for the book, though drop-ins are welcome for the story and activity. Tuesday, August 25th from 10:00-11:00am, outside in the back butterfly garden. Funded by the Lana Ferguson Literary Festival.
