One of the monarch caterpillars from the library’s butterfly garden has made it to adulthood, and we will be releasing him in our native plant pollinator garden around the rear of the library. All ages. Drop-in. This will be a very short event, so please arrive promptly. We will have a brief talk about the importance of monarchs and their host plant milkweed, then demonstrate how to tag and sample the butterfly for citizen science projects without harming him, before letting him fly free. Saturday, September 12th, from 10:00-10:15am.
