Step into the spotlight and ignite your creativity.

The GFL and Wilder Moon Collective’s Wildfire Workshop invites teens into a welcoming, collaborative space where acting and improvisation become tools for self-expression, connection, and growth. Through guided ensemble work, imaginative storytelling, and gentle performance exploration, participants are encouraged to follow their curiosity, take creative risks, and discover their own voice—at their own pace.

Rooted in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Wildfire supports teens in building confidence, resilience, empathy, and collaboration while fostering a strong sense of belonging. There’s no pressure to “perform perfectly”—instead, the focus is on listening, responding, and creating together in a way that feels playful, empowering, and authentic.

Whether you’re brand new to theater or already love being on stage, Wildfire is designed to spark bold self-expression, deepen connection, and create ensemble magic in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Half 1 – Stage Comfort & Voice
We start with a simple but empowering ritual: plugging in the mic, doing a sound check, and giving each student the opportunity to take the stage.

Half 2 – Ensemble Creation
We read a short poem as a group, then split into smaller teams of “actors” and “directors.” Each group responds with a mix of movement, spoken word, comedy, or music to create a collective performance.

Free and open to all all grades 5-12. Registration is required.
