Children in grades 3rd through 6th are welcome to join author Nancy Tandon in a spooky writing workshop! This special creative writing workshop begins with a short reading from the author’s novel The Ghost of Spruce Point before participants are led in a “Mad Libs”-style group haunted storytelling activity. Then, students are guided through the process of creating a scary story of their own including elements such as creepy descriptions, twists, and legends/lore. This age-appropriate workshop includes a make-your-own ghost bookmark and is ideal for fall!
If you would like to participate in the Connecticut state-wide Spooky Writing Contest, this workshop is a great place to get started and gather ideas!
This event takes place on Thursday, October 9th from 4:15-5:15, and is open to all children in grades 3rd through 6th. Registration is required, as space is limited.
