Weekend Wildlife: Awesome Opossums (May 18th)

Event Details

One Saturday each month, come to the library to learn about local & global animals & plants and meet wildlife.  Our Weekend Wildlife series aims to broaden understanding of and compassion for the environment, wildlife, and domestic animals through informative and interactive presentations.  Open to ages 4 & up.  Registration is required for each individual event.  11:00am-12:00pm on the following days:  April 6th, May 18th, and June 8th.  Generously funded by the Allan Louis Loeb Foundation.

This month we will be learning all about opossums.  You might know that opossums play dead when they feel threatened, but do you know all the great reasons you want them in your yard?  Learn about this marvelous marsupial from Nutmeg Acres Wildlife, and meet One-Eyed Willie, a friendly opossum ambassador.

Registration for this program is closed. Please call the library at (203) 453-8282 to be put on the waitlist. Waitlist patrons who show up day-of may only be admitted to the program if there is space due to registered participants cancelling.
