Are you interested in sewing but afraid of the machine, unsure how to thread it, and have no clue what all those wheels are for?! You’re in luck! Join our first class on using a sewing machine for tweens! Learn the basics of a sewing machine, it’s parts, and how to use it, as well as how to read a pattern and make basic machine stitches. In this six-week class, you’ll make a reusable tote bag to take home while gaining the skills and confidence to try more machine-sewing projects on your own.

You MUST attend all six classes to complete the project, as each week builds on the last. This program runs on Thursdays from April 30th-June 4th from 4:15-5:45pm, and is available to tweens in grades 4-6. Registration is required as space is extremely limited.

This program is full. Please call the children's department at (203) 453-8282 to be put on the waiting list.
