Each month we explore a different social-emotional topic or growing-up milestone through picture books, discussion, and activities which are appropriate and accessible to young children. Caregivers go home with a list of further resources and the confidence to continue teaching empathy. In May, we will be discussing museums. We will read picture books about what museums are, their importance, museum etiquette, and how to support them. All registered participants who attend will receive a free children’s book on museums. Songs, stories, felt boards, and fun with volunteer storytime reader Mimi!  You’ll love her songs on flute and guitar, her hand-embroidered felt board stories, and her energetic picture book readings.  Open to all ages.  No need to register.  Held once a month on Thursdays at 11 a.m.

Rowling’s Harry Potter series (no spoilers, though, if you haven’t read them all yet).  You’ll experience a Thickening Potion and its Antidote, Indoor Snow, a Crystal Ball full of pearly white mist, and many other dramatic chemical and physical changes.  Professor Sepoc features lots of eye-catching sparks, flames, foams, and color changes involving safe, simple chemicals. 

This inclusive, family-friendly show welcomes anyone ages 5 & up who can listen to instructions and be respectful to attend. Registration required.
