Plant and care for the library’s native plant butterfly and pollinator garden!  Learn about the importance of native plants and how you can help.  Do crafts and participate in citizen science/community science activities, where ordinary citizens/community members help scientists by gathering local data.  Help the library raise monarch caterpillars to be released as butterflies at the end of the summer.

Get ready for the school year with this fun, interactive pre-algebra course! Join high school students Sophie and David as they review key topics like integers, fractions, equations, ratios, and basic geometry, building a strong math foundation through simple explanations and practice problems. Perfect for middle school students who want to feel confident and prepared before math class starts. No pressure, no grades—just a friendly space to learn and ask questions!

Free and open to all in grades 5-8. Registration is required.

It’s puzzle time!  Grab your friends, think of a cool team name, and compete for the title of fastest puzzler!  Ten teams of 2-4 members will all complete the same 300 piece puzzle.  First, second, and third fastest teams to finish get a prize!  All ages are welcome, but the puzzle is recommended for those 14 years and older.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
