This informational program about addiction is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults in the community who are concerned about or want more information on addiction. We will screen the documentary film, “Tipping the Pain Scale” and a panel of experts will discuss the film and answer questions. This program is presented in partnership with Guilford Youth & Family Services. Monday, May 5th from 6:00-8:00pm. Please register.
Each month we explore a different social-emotional topic or growing-up milestone through picture books, discussion, and activities which are appropriate and accessible to young children. Caregivers go home with a list of further resources and the confidence to continue teaching empathy. In May, we will be discussing museums. We will read picture books about what museums are, their importance, museum etiquette, and how to support them. All registered participants who attend will receive a free children’s book on museums.
